Kane Richardson
A right-arm fast bowler from country South Australia, Kane Richardson has found great success in the shorter forms of the game. In 2013, he made a dramatic ODI debut against Sri Lanka at his home ground, the Adelaide Oval – after an economical six overs, he was ordered to discontinue bowling for repeatedly running on the pitch. Among his many exploits with the ball, Richardson’s 5/68 against India in early 2016 which won him the Man of the Match, stands out from the rest. The Big Bash League has proved to be a happy hunting ground for him, with his impressive death bowling helping Melbourne Renegades to their maiden title in BBL|08. Richardson’s IPL portfolio is extensive, having played for three different clubs over the years.
Richardson rose to international prominence in the 2013 Indian Premier League auction when the Pune Warriors paid $700,000 for his service even though he had played just six first-class matches.
